Limited Availability of Services

Health department facilities have reopened and many services are operating at limited capacity. Face masks are required in health department facilities, regardless of vaccination status.

Reproductive health and immunization clinic services are available by appointment. Please call 970-498-6767 for more information or to schedule.

Birth and death certificates can be obtained online, by mail, or by fax. Visit the webpage linked below for Birth and Death Records for more information.

  • Water samples for testing can be dropped off at our Fort Collins office Tuesday between 8am and 4pm. Holidays may impact the ability to accept water samples due to the requirements of the testing lab. Please check with us about bringing water samples if a holiday falls in a given week.

I have said this before and I will say it again, we are in a battle with a virus--and when we battle each other, the virus wins. We now have so many more tools available to us than we did at the beginning of this response. Coming together as a community, and implementing these steps now, will ensure that we can win this battle and eventually, win this war against COVID-19.

First Human West Nile Virus Case in Larimer County

This week the Larimer County Department of Health and Environment (LCDHE) confirmed the first case of West Nile virus in a Larimer County resident in 2021. The case is a Berthoud resident. Human case reports usually peak in August and September. 

Mosquito numbers are abundant in many areas of the county.

Larimer County Health Officials Strongly Recommend Residents Wear Masks in Indoor Settings as COVID-19 Increases

Due to the rapidly increasing threat of the Delta variant, primarily among unvaccinated people, Larimer County Health officials are calling on unvaccinated residents to make the decision to get vaccinated without delay. Additionally, officials are strongly recommending that all community members, both vaccinated and unvaccinated, wear masks in public indoor settings to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
