Request a School Field Trip, Guided Hike or Program

We offer special request programs and field trips for schools and community groups. Potential topics include: geology, ecology, cultural history, local conservation and more. We can also work with your group to design a program that meets your specific objectives.

Large educational groups visiting Larimer County's parks or open spaces need to fill out a program request form through the Offero system. This helps to ensure that multiple large groups are not scheduled at the same site on the same day. If you are proposing a program for your school group or recognized community organization, no fees apply.

Request a School Field Trip Request a Special Program

If your group would like to visit on a weekend day and you are not requesting a naturalist guide, you will need to fill out a Special Event Application instead. The application fee is waived for educational groups.

For questions, contact Angela Borland, Education and Volunteer Supervisor, at aborland@larimer.org or (970) 619-4489.

Funding for Transportation

Limited funding for school bus transportation is available for Title I schools. Please contact Angela Borland at aborland@larimer.org if you would like to receive information on aid to cover the cost of fuel and labor for your field trip.
