Biking to work can be a great way to commute and exercise at the same time. Northern Colorado is a very bike-friendly community with many resources available. 

Public Transit

Public Transit is a great option when there is are bus routes near your home and work. Many buses offer bicycle storage to make getting to and from bus stops and your destination even faster. Below are transit options for Larimer County and beyond.

Guaranteed Ride Home Program

We understand that one of the main reasons employees do not use a commuting alternative is the fear of being stranded at work. The Guaranteed Ride Home Program (GRH) helps alleviate this concern by providing a way home for those employees should they experience an illness, unexpected overtime, or other valid emergency.

County Policy requires that performance evaluations be given at the end of probation and annually based on the job anniversary date. 

Performance Management is NOT a one time a year event. It is something that should be on-going and regularly given throughout the year. Feedback is provided and received more easily when it is given regularly and frequently.  Please consult your HR Generalist if you have questions on performance management.

Command Staff Changes

On January 10, 2023, John Feyen will be sworn in as the Larimer County Sheriff.  Sheriff-Elect Feyen, intends to make the following appointments for his Command Staff for the Sheriff’s Office on January 10, 2023. Each Command Staff member will be classified in Larimer County pay grade 200 with a salary range of $26,125 to $250,000 annually and receive regular employee benefits.
