Larimer County's Business Hazardous Waste Diversion Program (BHWD) is a safe and affordable hazardous waste disposal and/or recycling option, as well as a technical advice resource for Very Small Quantity Generators (VSQG) in Larimer County. Handling hazardous waste properly:
Household Hazardous Waste
Free for Larimer County residents:
Typical household hazardous waste is accepted from Larimer County Residents for free. All other waste, including waste from businesses, churches, landlords, local governments, non-profits, and other organizations is subject to approval through the business program.

If you live in an area where curbside recycling is not available (or even if you do!), you may utilize these recycling drop-off centers. Recycling containers at most of these locations are separated by material type.

Drop-off Hours: Monday - Saturday 8:00 - 4:30. The Recycling Center drop-off area is also closed whenever the Landfill is closed due to wind.

Transfer Station & Residential Convenience Centers
The Estes Park Transfer Station and residential convenience centers are located in outlying areas of the county and are designed to make it easier for local residents to rid themselves of household wastes. The wastes collected at the transfer station and residential convenience centers are periodically transported to the Larimer County Landfill.
