Larimer County Sheriff’s Office K9 Tyr will receive a bullet and stab protective vest thanks to a charitable donation from non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. K9 Tyr’s vest is sponsored by Cindy and Jerry Runta of Fort Collins, CO and will be embroidered with the sentiment “This gift of protection provided by Cindy and Jerry Runta.” Delivery is expected within eight to ten weeks.

The man who died at his residence of 930 N Monroe Avenue #14, Loveland, Colorado on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 has been identified as Alexander Vogel, age 37.

An autopsy as performed on July 24, 2019 by James A. Wilkerson IV, MD, Larimer County Coroner who determined the death occurred when the decedent shot himself in the head with a pistol.  Manner of death is suicide.  Cause of death is gunshot wound of the head.

McKenna Fowler, age 20 of Longmont, Colorado was found unresponsive in the Big Thompson River on May 20, 2019, was then transported to a hospital and died on May 21, 2019.

Based upon investigation and autopsy findings, McKenna Fowler died of asphyxia by drowning with subsequent hypoxic brain injury.  Hypothermia as well as multiple blunt force injuries were contributory.  There were also superficial sharp force injuries.  The manner of death is determined to be suicide.
