Larimer County Engineering staff conducted a public meeting on January 25, 2018 to present a conceptual improvement plan for potential roadway improvements along County Road 54 (Douglas Road) between CR 17 (Shields Street) and CR 11 (Turnberry Road). Based on comments received during this meeting and subsequent public comments, Engineering staff has prepared a revised conceptual plan for Douglas Road. The revised concept reduces the scope of potential improvements.

Amendments to the Larimer County Land Use Code Section 9.5 Non-Regional Road Capital Expansion Fee and Section 9.6 Regional Road Capital Expansion Fee. The amendments will be heard before the Larimer County Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 6:30 pm and the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm. Both hearings will be in the Hearing Room - 1st floor of the Larimer County Courthouse Offices, 200 W. Oak, Fort Collins.

On April 6, 2018, at approximately 12:10 p.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office report of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 1st Street and County Road 10E in Berthoud. Deputies responded and found a crash involving a passenger car and a pickup.

On March 30, 2018, at approximately 11:35 a.m., deputies responded to the maximum-security area of the Larimer County Jail when an inmate began to attempt self-harm. Inmate Anthony John Warren Stansberry (DOB: 07-20-1990) had tied material from a mattress around his neck.

The decedent has been identified as Roger D. Talbot, age 28 of Fort Collins, Colorado.

Manner of death is determined to be Accident

Clinicians, health care agencies, and community organizations have a critical role in TB elimination. World TB Day is a time to recognize achievements in TB prevention and control and renew our commitment to ending a dangerous disease in Larimer County and throughout the world. This year, the county’s TB Program recognizes the healthcare providers and staff of Family Medicine Center (FMC) and Poudre Valley Prenatal (PVP) as “Leaders for a TB-Free United States” for their dedication in the ongoing effort to end TB.
