Passport Services

The convenience of submitting your passport application is available at the Larimer County Recording Department located in the Larimer County Administrative Services building at 200 West Oak Street in Fort Collins. We are designated as a Passport Acceptance Facility. All necessary forms are available, and our trained staff can answer your questions. We offer photo services for U.S. passports or visa photos.

Please Note: Users who do not register within system, and choose to remain anonymous, will have access to data only, without the capacity to view or print images.

Searchable indexing is available online from 1971 to present. Documents recorded prior to 1971 will require a book search which must be conducted in our office at 200 W Oak Street in Fort Collins. Our office cannot conduct searches of public records on your behalf, pursuant to C.R.S. 30-10-101(2.5)(c).

Notary Services

The convenience of having a document notarized is available at the Larimer County Recording Department located in the Larimer County Administrative Services building at 200 West Oak Street.

Signature acknowledgements, Certification of Documents, and Affidavits/Jurats are the services available.

You must provide a valid picture ID (State issued ID card, Driver's License, Military ID card or passport) and a $5.00 fee per document. No appointment necessary.

Recording Documents

The main focus of the Recording Department is first and foremost the maintenance and integrity of the Larimer County Public Land Records which date back to 1862. Our duties include, the recording and imaging of documents for the permanent public record; providing a grantor/grantee index for search and retrieval of recorded documents; and providing copies of those documents to the public upon request.

Be sure to fill out the form completely and click "Submit" at the end of the form to proceed. *Parental information is required for all applicants.* Once the online form is completed, the parties to the union or the marriage must finalize their application by visiting any of the Clerk and Recorder office locations listed below and presenting valid identification. It will also save time to bring the transaction number that you receive after the application has been submitted.
