User Fee Adjustment Public Meeting (1/2)
Larimer County Natural Resources (LCDNR) invites members of the public to share input on proposed adjustments to existing fees charged within LCDNR-managed properties and on establishing a day use fee at the Devil's Backbone Open Space south trailhead off Highway 34. The first public meeting will be Wednesday, July 7 from 6-7 p.m. Registration is required at this link:

The second public meeting will be Tuesday, July 27 from 6-7 p.m. Registration is required at this link:

Larimer County is seeking approximately a ten percent (10%) increase in user fees based on inflation and rising visitation at Larimer County Natural Resource properties. Resident day use permits would increase from $9 to $10, and resident annual vehicle permits would raise from $90 to $100. Disabled individuals and low-income (bison) permits would incur no increase. Staff are also seeking to institute a day use fee at the Devil's Backbone Open Space south trailhead (off Hwy. 34, Loveland) to align with the fee being charged at the north trailhead (Blue Sky trailhead, Fort Collins). All proposed fee adjustments would go into effect January 2022.

The virtual public meetings will feature an overview of funding and proposed fee adjustments, highlight plans to preserve accessibility at Larimer County parks and open spaces, and review current demands and funding constraints. Interactive polling will be utilized during the virtual meetings to offer attendees an opportunity to provide timely input. Both meetings will cover identical content, will be recorded, and can be viewed at a later date.

Further details for additional public input opportunities can be found via Natural Resources' web event calendar and on its Facebook event page.
