Larimer County Engineering staff conducted a public meeting on January 25, 2018 to present a conceptual improvement plan for potential roadway improvements along County Road 54 (Douglas Road) between CR 17 (Shields Street) and CR 11 (Turnberry Road). Based on comments received during this meeting and subsequent public comments, Engineering staff has prepared a revised conceptual plan for Douglas Road. The revised concept reduces the scope of potential improvements.

Amendments to the Larimer County Land Use Code Section 9.5 Non-Regional Road Capital Expansion Fee and Section 9.6 Regional Road Capital Expansion Fee. The amendments will be heard before the Larimer County Planning Commission on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 at 6:30 pm and the Board of County Commissioners on Monday, May 21, 2018 at 3:00 pm. Both hearings will be in the Hearing Room - 1st floor of the Larimer County Courthouse Offices, 200 W. Oak, Fort Collins.

On April 6, 2018, at approximately 12:10 p.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office report of a motor vehicle crash at the intersection of 1st Street and County Road 10E in Berthoud. Deputies responded and found a crash involving a passenger car and a pickup.

Larimer County Department of Natural Resources has selected Loveland mixed-media painter Amelia Furman as its 2018 Visual Artist. Furman will spend the next year exploring Larimer County’s parks and open spaces and create a piece of art inspired by these scenic, protected places.
