Youth Engagement Specialists Now Hiring! Deadline May 7th.

Have an Impact on your School & Community

The Larimer County Department of Health and Environment is hiring 3 Larimer County High School Students between the ages of 16-18 for the position of Youth Engagement Specialist.

The $14.00/hr positions are a 6 month commitment (mid June 2021-Dec 2021) at 10-15 hours per week. 2 positions are located in Estes Park, the 3rd position is located in Fort Collins. Applicants must be a high school student for the 2021-2022 school year to be considered.

Gain insight & valuable information to support your summer job search.  This newsletter runs weekly during the months of February through August and then will reduce to monthly distribution from September through January. Larimer County Economic & Workforce Development's CareerRise program has a variety of PAID summer internship opportunities available for 16 to 18 year olds. Opportunities span a variety of industries including healthcare, construction, marketing, manufacturing & more! 

These internships are supported by Larimer County, NoCo Manufacturing Sector Partnership & Northern Colorado Health Sector Partnership.


Larimer County Conservation Corps Now Hiring!

Be a part of something that matters. Get your boots on the ground & help sustain our natural resources. For ages 18-25, corpsmembers gain valuable experience working in teams, developing personal & professional skills, while learning about local conservation efforts.

Young Entrepreneur Tournament (YET) - October 2021

Youth ages 18 & younger. This 5-part workshop will assist you in identifying & preparing a business plan & will wrap up with youth presenting their business plan to local business leaders & compete for up to $2,200 in cash awards.

POSTPONED - Career Road Trips

For ages 14-24.  Take a ride with Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development to experience careers of the future.  Participating youth get to see behind the scenes of local businesses & get ideas from real professionals on how to get to your dream career.

Career Road Trips is a summer program, and will not be offered in 2021 due to concerns over COVID-19.
