Animal Sheltering for Estes Park Area Evacuees
NOCO Humane has worked with more of our shelter partners to open up further opportunities for small companion animals, who are evacuated from the Estes Park/Estes Valley area, to receive temporary housing. The following shelters are offering assistance:
If you are traveling Hwy 34 or Hwy 36:
- Riverdale Animal Shelter of Adams County, 12155 Park Boulevard in Brighton, CO. If you are arriving at Riverdale Animal Shelter of Adams County, please call the evacuation emergency phone line at (720) 523-7227 ahead of time so they may best assist you.
- Longmont Humane Society, 9595 Nelson Road in Longmont. If you are able, please call them at 303-772-1232 prior to arriving in order to confirm a space for your pet.
- Humane Society of Boulder Valley, 2323 55th Street in Boulder. If you are in the Boulder/Broomfield area following your evacuation - please come to 2323 55th St in Boulder or call 303-442-4030 for assistance with your pets.
If you are traveling Hwy 7:
- Please transport your animals to the Gilpin County Fairgrounds as they are open and available to take large and small animals. They can be contacted at 303-515-4342 and their address is 230 Norton Drive, Black Hawk CO 80422.
