During the COVID-19 pandemic, U.S. Congress authorized emergency allotments to help meet food needs. The emergency allotments were temporary and will end in March 2023, decreasing the total amount of benefits each month for SNAP households in Colorado.

Important notice: SNAP emergency allotments ending | Due to recent congressional action, the temporary increase to SNAP benefits, also known as emergency allotments, is ending. February will be the last month the temporarily increased SNAP benefits will be paid. Most SNAP households will receive lower monthly benefit amounts; this is not due to a change in your household.
