Larimer County's Transportation Capital Expansion Fees will increase July 1st by 3.1% from the 2018 values.  As an example of what this change means, the total TCEF on a new single family home (between 1,801 SF – 2,400 sf) will increase by $129, from $4,168 to $4,297.

The adjustment in the fees each year reflects changes in road construction costs during the previous year and is based on the Colorado Construction Cost Index data compiled and reported by the Colorado Department of Transportation (CDOT).

Since 1998, Larimer County has been collecting transportation capital expansion fees from new traffic generating development to be used for improvements to the road system to accommodate the increase in traffic generated by the new development. Additional information on the County Transportation Capital Expansion Fee Study is at  https://www.larimer.org/engineering/development-review
