May is Older Americans Month, a perfect opportunity to show our appreciation for the older adults and caregivers in our community. Since 1963, communities across the nation have come together to celebrate Older Americans Month—a proud tradition that shows our nation’s commitment to recognizing the contributions and achievements of older Americans.

The Larimer County Office on Aging will host an awards ceremony, Thursday, May 13, 2021 honoring one outstanding senior volunteer and one outstanding family caregiver in our community.

Deadline: All nomination forms must be turned in or postmarked by April 1, 2021.

Winners will be notified in advance as well as the nominator. Winners are encouraged to bring family and friends to the celebration on May 13 at 1:30 p.m.

  • The Outstanding Senior Volunteer recipient is someone who advocates on behalf of seniors and/or senior issues, volunteers their time in the community, has a positive attitude and generous spirit.
  • For the Outstanding Family Caregiver award recipient, we are looking for a family caregiver that is caring for someone 60 years of age and older. They have a generous spirit, positive attitude and provide the highest quality of life possible for the person receiving care.
