Unemployment Insurance Information: News and Resources

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) system is administered by the State of Colorado not Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.  

All Uninsurance Benefits Claimants will have to verify your ID to continue receiving Unemployment Benefits. 

In order to safeguard the integrity of Colorado’s unemployment program, all claimants who have not yet verified their identity through will need to verify their identity.  All claimants now have the option to complete the identity verification, but the requirement is being phased in over a period of weeks. When you are required to verify your identity using, you will receive an email from CDLE with instructions, as well as an “Identity Verification” issue on the “Issues and Determinations” screen within your MyUI+ account.  If you have not yet received an email from CDLE, or an “Identity Verification” issue within your MyUI+ account, you are not yet required to complete the process, though you will be in the near future. You can go ahead and do it now if you choose, or you can wait until you are required to do so.

How It Works
  • You verify your identity by uploading a photo of your government ID along with a selfie.  Many claimants are able to complete this self-guided process within 15 minutes and it can be completed 24-hours per day, 7 days a week.
  • This step-by-step guide walks you through the complete identity verification process.

Larimer County Conservation Corps is Hiring!

LCCC is seeking young adults, between the ages of 16 and 25, to serve on one of our summer 2021 conservation crews.  Positions are full-time, temporary positions lasting between 8 and 16 weeks.  LCCC crews enhance and restore public lands and open spaces through projects such as trail building and maintenance, habitat restoration, fire mitigation, invasive species removal and more.

Upon successful completion of the program, corpsmembers may be eligible to receive a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award.

Larimer County Conservation Corps Offers FREE Home Efficiency Assessments

Looking for ways to save water, energy, and money?  A home efficiency assessment can help!  Larimer County Conservation Corps (LCCC) Water and Energy Program team which provides customers a FREE home efficiency assessment to reduce energy and water resources.  Assessments are available through the end of May 2021 and adhere to COVID-19 protocols.  
To qualify for an energy assessment, you must be a utility customer of either Fort Collins Utilities or Loveland Water and Power.  Both homeowners and renters are eligible for this free service.
