Notice of new property valuation
Release Date: May 2, 2017
Alexis Smith, Deputy Assessor, 498-7094, email@example.com
Larimer County property owners will receive a new notice of valuation the first week of May that will show a new total value of their property based on real estate market changes from the last reappraisal in 2015, to the new 2017 appraisal.
Property owners may file a protest if they find the value is not correct. Appraisers in the Larimer County Assessor’s Office will review all information submitted and determine if the property is undervalued or overvalued to make appropriate adjustments.
The best way to file a protest is online and submit it early. Property owners will receive immediate confirmation of the protest, and an early protest allows our appraisers ample time to review the submitted information. Property owners may also protest in person or by mail. Protests must be submitted by June 1, 2017. Waiting until the June 1 deadline or last week prior will mean longer wait times and less review time by the appraisers.
