LC101 Class of 2014
The Larimer County 101 Class of 2014 received graduation certificates at The Ranch in Loveland on Thursday, May 22. The dinner and tour at the Ranch Bar & Grill, Budweiser Events Center Restaurant, is meant to not only applaud the citizens who completed the 9-week course about Larimer County services but to also ask for feedback aimed at making the program even better.
Thirty-three citizens from throughout the County attended the class which takes place in various County facilities including the Larimer County Courthouse Offices Bldg., Alternative Sentencing Dept., Sheriff’s Administration, Landfill, and The Ranch.
The 2014 Class included:
Bernie Alexy, Nora Alvarado, Ann Bedient, Bill Benson, Pam Brewer, Paul Curtis, Stacie Eckles, Liz and Neil Elliott, Caroline and Shedd Farley, Valerie Gallegos, Heather Gossel, Norland Hall, Sarah Hardin, Jennifer Kathol, Chris Kelley, Michael Kueckelhan, Susan Larson, Susan McKee, Norm Merritt, Katie O’Donnell, Mike Pruznick, Amanda Quijano, Carol Reed, Dick Rush, Dan Sapienza, Haylee Schweizer, John Shafer, Bill Sullivan, Amanda Swift, Mary Wright, and Patricia Wright.
Sessions are as interactive as possible and led by County Elected Officials, Department and Division heads and other County staff expert in their field. The concept was designed to provide participants with an inside look at the workings of Larimer County government and the services provided. Participants role played County Planning scenarios, brain-stormed Public Works resource issues, made decisions on challenging Human Service issues, and more. The class is held once a year in March, April and May and applications are available in late January.
