Release Date: Apr 14, 2014

Contact Information:

Charlie Gindler, Resources Specialist, (970) 498-5606

Depending on weather conditions a controlled agricultural burn will take place at River Bluffs Open Space northwest of Windsor and Southeast of Fort Collins on April 15th, 16th or 17th. The burning of weeds and dead grass along irrigation ditches improves delivery of irrigation water to the hay fields at the open space. The trail on the west side of the Poudre River will be closed for several hours when the west field ditches are burned.

Exact trail closure dates and times will be announced by Facebook, Twitter and on the Larimer County Natural Resources website.
If you see smoke just north of Highway 392 and just east of County Road 3 please do not call 911 to report it.
