Larimer County Treasurer - 2013 Tax Statements
Release Date: Jan 24, 2014
Myrna J. Rodenberger, Larimer County Treasurer, 970-498-7028
Larimer County Treasurer, Myrna Rodenberger, said today the mailing of the 2013 tax statements is complete.
Nearly 150,000 tax notices have been mailed, which will include 139,469 real property; 5,037 personal property; 5,571mobile home and 215 state assessed tax bills. Ms. Rodenberger also said payment of these taxes will produce over $372 million for taxing authorities throughout Larimer County, $4 million more from the 2012 payable in 2013 collection process.
These tax statements are for the taxable year 2013, and became due January 1, 2014. However, in accordance with Colorado State Statutes, the taxpayer has the option of paying the full amount of taxes in a single payment no later than Wednesday, April 30th, or payment can be made in two equal installments. The first installment must be paid no later than Friday, February 28th, with the second installment to be paid no later than Monday, June 16th. Because the statutory June 15th deadline falls on a Sunday, payments will be accepted as current through Monday, June 16th. Taxpayers using the half payment option are reminded to file their 2nd half payment coupon in a convenient place for June remittance, as a second half notice will not be mailed.
Please mail payments to Larimer County Treasurer, P.O. Box 2336, Fort Collins, CO 80522. To ensure proper credit, please reference your schedule number on your check.
Please sign up for future etax statements by following directions on your current tax statement when received.
Rodenberger reminds all taxpayers that failure to receive a tax bill does not exempt the taxpayer from his or her obligation to pay taxes and encourages any property owners that have not received a tax notice by January 31st, to call the Larimer County Treasurer's Office at 498-7020.
