The Larimer County Road & Bridge Department’s 2018 Chip Seal and Seal Coat program begins June 18, 2018. Work starts in the foothills west of Fort Collins in the Stove Prairie area.

Global markets for recycling products have declined so significantly that Larimer County may temporarily allow Waste Management Inc (WM, Inc.) to dispose of some plastics in the landfill that have limited to no market value.
Today marks the three-year anniversary of the second case in a string of random shootings being investigated by the Northern Colorado Shooting Task Force.
WM, Inc. who is currently under contract to operate the Larimer County Recycling Center recently contacted the County concerning the collapsing prices and end market for specific grade plastics #3, #6 and #7. These types of plastics are commonly thin and flimsy and are used to manufacture take-out cups and “clamshell” deli boxes. These plastic containers are typically numbered with the appropriate recycling symbol on the bottom of each container.
Primary Election Day in Colorado is little more than a month away – June 26th. Ballots will be in the mail to registered voters the week of June 4th, and there are some very important things all voters – and especially those who are Unaffiliated (or sometimes call themselves “independent”) – need to know.
