The Unemployment Insurance (UI) system is administered by the State of Colorado not Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.  

Please note there have been significant changes to the online Unemployment Benefits System, My UI+.   

Extended Federal Unemployment Insurance Programs (PUA) (PEUC) (SEB).   CDLE will begin a phased rollout of the federal pandemic benefit programs on Monday, February 1, 2020.

  • Phase 1 includes most non-exhausted PUA and PEUC claims, including:
    • Active or expired PUA claims with a monetary balance
    • Active or expired PEUC claims with a monetary balance
    • FPUC benefits for regular state unemployment claimants
  • Phase 2 begins on February 22, 2021 and includes most PUA and PEUC claimants who exhausted the. balance of their claims on or before December 26, 2020 and the ability to file new PUA and PEUC claims.

Fraud or Suspected Fraud

  • Program Integrity Holds - To ensure benefits are being paid to legitimate claimants a Program Integrity Hold may be placed on a claim. 
  • If you received unemployment paperwork but did not file a claim, or otherwise believe you are a victim of identity theft related to unemployment benefits, view Information on reporting fraud.

Unemployment Insurance:  Get the latest updates on all Unemployment Insurance programs.  Visit the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment News and Alerts page regularly for updates.  

Work-search requirements are in place. You are required to complete work-search activities every week to be paid benefits unless you are job attached.  Have questions on what qualifies as a work-search activity?  Visit the Information on Unemployment Insurance work search requirements page.

  • United Way is coordinating efforts of many local community resources. Go to uwaylc.org  to find an updated list.

*If the only assistance you want is to have your resume reviewed, submit directly through your Connecting Colorado account.  On your dashboard, look for the “Toolbox” and click on “Resume Review.” Your resume will be reviewed and feedback provided to you via email within five (5) business days.
