The Unemployment Insurance (UI) system is administered by the State of Colorado not Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.

*Please note there have been significant changes to the online Unemployment Benefits System.   After a system upgrade, the Colorado Benefits System has reopened.  However, the system is NOT yet ready to handle the new 11 weeks of extended federal jobless payments for gig works and those who've exhausted state benefits.

  • Federal Unemployment Insurance Programs (PUA) (PEUC) (SEB).  As you may know, legislation has been signed into law extending several federal pandemic-related benefit programs, including Pandemic Unemployment Assistance (PUA). The legislation provides eligible claimants with up to 11 additional weeks of eligibility for PUA benefits, through March 13, 2021.  It may be take until early February for the new computer system is programmed to correctly distribute these benefits.   Those claimants who must wait for the reprogrammed system will be eligible for retroactive pay.   There is no action needed by claimants at this time.
  • Those  who have a regular unemployment claim can login and request a payment.
    • Navigate to MyUI+
      • Request a password change.  Once password is changed you can request a payment in one of two ways.
        • From the navigation links on the left side of the page, click on Request Benefit Payment and then click on Start Weekly Certification.
        • From the Home Page dashboard, scroll to Pending Weekly Certifications and then click on Start Weekly Certification.
  • Extended support hours are available through January 22, 2021.  303-536-5615 (English and Spanish)
    Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. (January 11 through January 22)
    Monday – Friday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. (after January 22)
