Clean Up Day on September 26 has been canceled and changed into a voucher program for this year. In an effort to continue to prioritize the safety of community members and Town employees, Johnstown will provide residents with vouchers for use at the Larimer County Landfill.

Johnstown, CO – September 14, 2020 – After much thought regarding Annual Clean Up Day, Johnstown Town Officials have decided to cancel the in-Town event that was scheduled for September 26, 2020. Instead, the Town will be providing vouchers to residents to cover one trip in a car/SUV/truck or trailer (at 3 cubic yards) to Larimer County Landfill. The Town believes that the opportunity to dispose of your garbage-alternative items is important but has also determined that, on account of current circumstances, it benefits everyone to remove the direct and unnecessary contact between Town employees and residents’ home items.

The 2020 voucher plan still gives residents the opportunity to discard unwanted items by bringing them to the Larimer County Landfill rather than paying the $10.00 drop-off fee at the Town’s Public Works building as was done in the past. Residents can come to Town Hall to pick up one voucher per address starting on September 23 and are asked to bring their ID and are encouraged to bring a utility bill with them for pick up. Vouchers will be distributed until October 8 and can be used at the Larimer County Landfill for the week of October 10-17. For more information please visit or find information regarding disposal at
