The 2018 Larimer County Citizen Survey Results Report is now available. The Center for Research and Public Policy [CRPP] conducted the survey among Larimer County residents, May 21 through June 8, 2018, with over 3,600 residents participating.
On 06/24/2018, the Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to Legacy Park at 300 Woodlawn Drive, Fort Collins, CO to investigate the report of a body found in the Poudre River. A full forensic autopsy was performed on the morning of 06/25/2018 by Larimer County Coroner James A. Wilkerson, I.V., M.D. The decedent was identified at 31 year old Cordell W. Starkey, recently of the Fort Collins area. Dr. Wilkerson determined that the cause of death was Asphyxia by Drowning and the manner of death was Accident. No other information will be released.
The Board of Larimer County Commissioners, and the Environmental Science and Advisory Board honored three individuals/organizations for their outstanding work with Environmental Stewardship in Larimer County at the 22nd annual Environmental Stewardship Awards.
The Lake to Lake Triathlon will impact the use of Taft Hill Road, southbound from the intersection at Harmony Road, on Saturday, June 23. A detour will be in place for those needing to enter the landfill between 7:30 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. that morning.
On June 13, 2018 the Larimer County Medical Examiner's Office responded to a single vehicle motorcycle crash on Dixon Dam; 2500 S. County Road 23, Fort Collins, CO.
On 06/12/2018, the Larimer County Coroner's Office responded to the intersection of Highway 34 and Goodwine Lane to investigate the death of a male who was involved in a motor vehicle crash. The decedent was identified as Bryan K. Wells Jr., age 26, of Loveland, CO. A forensic autopsy was performed by Larimer County Coroner James A. Wilkerson IV, M.D. on 06/13/2018. This autopsy revealed that the cause of death is Multiple Blunt Force Injuries and the manner of death is Accident. No other information will be released.
The Larimer County Road & Bridge Department’s 2018 Chip Seal and Seal Coat program begins June 18, 2018. Work starts in the foothills west of Fort Collins in the Stove Prairie area.

It was with determination, support from the Larimer County Community Corrections Women’s Program, and the generosity of the Kristi Visocky Foundation that helped Angela Ward, a client in the program, and build a better life for herself. Now she wants to give back to the community that helped her.

Commissioner Gaiter provided an opportunity for voters to get to know the candidates for his Commissioner District 1 seat that will be open in November. The candidates experienced the diversity of this large district that spans the northern portion of the county, from the city of Fort Collins to the mountain community of Red Feather Lakes area.
