Updated information on Coronavirus (COVID-19) in Larimer County

Larimer County Criminal Justice Services is working hard to minimize the impacts of COVID-19.  Since early-mid March, in a consistently changing situation, the management and staff at Alternative Sentencing and Community Corrections have implemented changes to our operations and placed a high priority on communication and getting answers to concerns in order to protect the people we serve.  The continued health and safety of our staff, offenders in our care, clients, and the public is paramount to our agency.  We understand there are concerns for offenders and the public that are caused by the COVID-19 outbreak in Colorado, especially in the Larimer County community.  We have been in continual, direct contact with the Larimer County Health Department and have been following their guidance on how our department should be handling operations.  In addition to the Health Dept, we have also worked closely with other criminal justice agencies to balance public safety and the concerns of COVID-19.  We aim to recover and find ways to continue providing services to offenders, clients and partners; however, we will move forward with caution and thoughtful planning, knowing there may be continued challenges and setbacks along the way.

We have made this information available on our website.  Public Health Orders, events affecting our agency, our response efforts to protect and recover, as well as the current status of COVID-19 positive cases in our facilities are posted at:  https://www.larimer.org/cjs/covid-19-response
