The boating season at Larimer County’s reservoir parks kicks off Wednesday, April 1, 2020.

Select boat ramps will open at Horsetooth Reservoir and Carter Lake. Larimer County Natural Resources urges boaters to not congregate at boat ramps, docks, or ANS stations, and abide by social distancing guidelines as recommended by the CDC.

Hours of operation for April include:

  • Horsetooth Reservoir County Park, South Bay ramp, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., 7 days a week
  • Carter Lake County Park, North Pines ramp, 7 a.m.-7 p.m., 7 days a week

"We request boaters to not leave their cars during their ANS inspection before they are cleared to enter the water. We also urge visitors to keep distance with others and stay home if not feeling well for the safety of our staff," said Mark Caughlan, Horsetooth District Manager. “Visitors are urged to abide by CDC guidance recommendations, so Larimer County parks, open spaces, and trails remain open.”
