Where do my property taxes go? Where does my trash go? Who built the bridge I drive over every day?

Find answers to how these and other vital services are provided to all Larimer County residents in our free 10-week class, Larimer County 101 (LC101).

LC101 introduces class members to how Larimer County services are provided to residents by the people who provide them. Class members get an inside look at how Larimer County operates and interact with elected officials, and staff.

The class meets Thursday nights from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., March 19, 2020, to May 28, 2020, at county locations in Fort Collins and Loveland.

Class size is limited to 35 and fills up quickly. Apply online at the LC101 webpage: https://www.larimer.org/LC101/lc101-class-2020-application.   Registration opens February 1, 2020, and the deadline to apply is March 1, 2020.

LC101 is an interactive class, and members tour county facilities like The Ranch Events Complex, Horsetooth Area Information Center, Alternative Sentencing, Community Corrections, and the Larimer County Landfill.

Class members learn about the county budget, elections, Sheriff, land use, building roads and bridges, human services, public health, solid waste, economic development, property taxes, the District Attorney’s Office, Coroner, and much more.
