On Friday morning, 12/6/19, at about 8:30 a.m., the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office was notified of a bomb threat made against Berthoud High School by a telephone call to Thompson School District security staff. Deputies responded and evacuated the students to Ivy Stockwell Elementary School as a precaution while a building search was conducted. The Northern Colorado Regional Bomb Squad searched the school with the assistance of a specialized K-9 trained to detect explosives. No suspicious items were discovered.

The Larimer County Sheriff’s Office is continuing to investigate the bomb threat to determine the identity of the suspect. At this time, there is no known threat to the safety of the students of Berthoud High School. No injuries were reported.
