Larimer County Offices, Courts, and District Attorney will be closed January 20, 2020, in observance of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The Larimer County Landfill will be open. Critical services at Larimer County are not disrupted by closures.

Larimer County will begin mailing ballots to voters the week of October 14thfor the November 5, 2019, Larimer County Coordinated Election. If you do not receive your ballot by October 21st, contact the Elections Office at 970-498-7820.

Once you receive your ballot – PLEASE VOTE EARLY!  And please encourage everyone you know to do the same. “We are committed to providing Election Night results and staying until the job is done,” says Clerk and Recorder, Angela Myers. “However, that won’t be possible if we receive more 20,000 ballots on Election Day.” 

Voters can drop off their voted ballot 24 hours a day at any of the following drop box locations until 7 p.m. on Election Day:
  • Larimer County Courthouse, 200 W Oak St., Fort Collins
  • Loveland Vehicle Licensing Branch Office, 200 Peridot Ave., Loveland
  • Estes Park Vehicle Licensing Branch Office, 1601 Brodie Ave., Estes Park
  • NEW LOCATION: Harmony Library, 4616 S Shields St., Fort Collins
  • NEW LOCATION: Colorado State University-Lory Student Center, 1101 Center Ave Mall, Fort Collins
  • NEW LOCATION: Red Feather Lakes Library, 71 Fire House Ln., Red Feather Lakes
  • NEW LOCATION: Wellington Public Library, 3800 Wilson Ave., Wellington
  • NEW LOCATION: Berthoud Community Library, 236 Welch Ave., Berthoud
  • NEW LOCATION: Timnath Public Works Building, 4800 Goodman Rd., Timnath

 

Additional ballot drop-off locations will accept ballots between November 1st and November 5th. They are:
  • King Soopers, 2602 S. Timberline Rd., Fort Collins
  • King Soopers, 1842 North College Ave., Fort Collins
  • Safeway, 2160 West Drake Rd., Fort Collins
  • Safeway, 1426 East Harmony Rd., Fort Collins
  • King Soopers, 1275 Eagle Dr., Loveland

 

The grocery stores listed above will accept ballots only during the following times:
  • Friday, November 1st (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Saturday, November 2nd (9 a.m. – 1 p.m.)
  • Monday, November 4th (8 a.m. – 5 p.m.)
  • Tuesday, Election Day, November 5th (7 a.m. – 7 p.m.)

Colorado is a mail-ballot state, so all active registered voters will receive a ballot by mail. Voted ballots can either be mailed back via the US Postal Service (one First Class stamp is sufficient) or dropped off at any ballot drop-off location within the County. For additional assistance, voters can go to any Larimer County Voter Service and Polling Center (VSPC) to utilize ADA-accessible voting machines, drop off a ballot, obtain a replacement ballot, submit a change of address, or register and vote.

Larimer County VSPC locations for this election are listed below, and can be found on the voter instructions included in each ballot packet or at votelarimer.org:

  • Larimer County Courthouse, 200 West Oak St., Fort Collins
  • Loveland Police and Courts Building, 810 East 10th St., Loveland
  • NEW LOCATION: Estes Park Valley Community Center, 660 Community Dr., Estes Park

 

VSPCs will be open during the following times:
  • Monday thru Friday, Oct. 28th – Nov. 1st from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • November 2nd from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
  • November 4th from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
  • November 5th, Election Day, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

The Larimer County Clerk must receive ballots by 7 p.m. on Election Day for your vote to be counted. Postmark does not count as a received date. If you mail your ballot, be sure to do so no later than October 28th to ensure receipt by November 5th.
