Larimer County Treasurer Irene Josey reminds taxpayers that all property taxes must be paid by Monday, June 17, 2019, in order to be considered timely.  The June 17 deadline is for taxpayers who pay their taxes in two equal installments; the first half was due February 28.  Your second half payment coupon was mailed with the original tax notice in January.

For your convenience, there are several ways to make your payment. You may mail your payment to P.O. Box 1250, Fort Collins, CO 80522, pay online with a credit card, debit card, or an electronic check, take your payment to a participating area bank or pay in person at our office in Fort Collins. More information about these options can be found at www.larimer.org/treasurer/pay.

Payments mailed with a U.S. Postal Service postmark of June 17 or before will be considered timely.  Josey says failure to meet the deadline would result in the assessment of delinquent interest for late payment in accordance with Colorado Revised Statutes.  Any property taxes not paid by June 17 will become delinquent on June 18 and will bear the full month’s delinquent interest.

If you have an escrow account with your mortgage company for property taxes and have questions regarding their payment, please contact them for further information.

Additional information may be found at www.larimer.org/treasurer or by contacting the Larimer County Treasurer's Office directly at 970-498-7020 or lctreasurer@larimer.org.
