County officials begin demolition work on house and garage posing public safety threat to Loveland neighborhood
Larimer County Community Development Department will be demolishing two structures on the property located at 860 4th St. SE in Loveland over the course of several days, beginning Feb. 11, 2019.
The two structures being demolished pose a significant threat to public safety and violate multiple sections of the Uniform Code for the Abatement of Dangerous Buildings, including hazardous levels of methamphetamines.
Despite numerous letters, court orders and status updates, the property owners have failed to abate the dangerous conditions and continue to occupy the structure. A May 2018 court order instructs the occupants to vacate the dangerous structures. The same court order allows Larimer County to abate the dangerous condition by demolition if the property owner fails to take action.
