You’ve thought about it before, so here’s your chance to serve on the Larimer County Science and Advisory Board [ESAB]. If protecting our environment is your passion, Larimer County is taking applications to fill openings on the board.

The board meets from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the second Tuesday of each month at the Larimer County Courthouse Offices Building, 200 West Oak St., Fort Collins. Each board member term length is three years, with those applicants selected beginning as soon as the appointment is made.

The board advises the Board of County Commissioners and departments on a breadth of environmental and science related matters in Larimer County. Those with a science-based background are encouraged to apply.

The Advisory Board publishes an annual report describing activities and projects from the previous year and its priorities for the future. Examples include co-sponsoring the Environmental Stewardship Awards Program and review of environmental projects such as the county’s comprehensive plan and land use code.

Visit to apply online for an opening or print an application, fill it out and mail it to Larimer County Commissioners’ Office, P.O. Box, 1190, Fort Collins, Colorado 80522.
