In January 2018, the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office and Colorado State Patrol began receiving reports of rocks damaging vehicles as motorists drove under the bridge at County Road 36 (Kechter Road) on Interstate 25 during the nighttime hours.  Several vehicles were struck by rocks causing damage and creating a serious risk to the vehicle occupants as they drove at interstate speeds.  Fortunately, no one was hurt.  Seven victims reported broken windshields and body damage to their vehicles.

LCSO and CSP conducted a lengthy joint investigation of more than eight reports between January and July and were able to identify two suspects.  Investigators obtained Criminal Mischief $1,000 - $5,000 (Class 6 Felony) arrest warrants for Joshua Frederick Boddy (12/05/1987) of Loveland and Kraig Warren Lorenzen (06/08/1986) of Loveland.

On December 20, 2018, both men turned themselves in at the Loveland Police Department and were released the same day on $5,000 bond each.  Their booking photos are attached courtesy of the Loveland Police Department.

The charges are merely an accusation and the defendants are presumed innocent until, and unless, proven guilty.
