On November 22, 2018 a motor vehicle accident at E. Harmony Road and E Boardwalk Drive, Fort Collins, Colorado occurred with the fatalities of a father and daughter.

John Nees, age 55, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and his daughter Nicole Nees, age 38 of Fort Collins, Colorado died at the scene.  Autopsies were performed.  Manner of death is Accident and Cause of Death is determined to be Multiple Blunt Force Injuries.  Death for both decedents was immediate.

Through collaboration and teamwork, Larimer County Engineering and four other jurisdictions were recognized by the Board of Larimer County Commissioners Nov. 20, 2018 for receiving an award from a professional organization for rebuilding Fish Creek Road in Estes Park, heavily damaged in the 2013 flood.

The deceased person found on November 17, 2018 in the 7900 block of E US Hwy 34, Johnstown, CO has positively been identified as Heather R. Cross, age 44.   Ms. Cross had no permanent address. Next-of-Kin has been notified. 

Manner and Cause of Death - Pending toxicology.  Date of death is unknown at this time.  Foul play is not suspected.

No other information will be released at this time.

On November 17, 2018, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Larimer County Sheriff’s Office deputies received a report of a deceased party in the 7900 block of East Highway 34. Residents of a rural farm located what was believed to be the remains of an unknown person on their property.

On October 24, 2018 there was a residence fire at 3219 Sumac St. #7 in Fort Collins, CO with one fatality. The decedent has been positively identified by the Larimer County Coroner's Office as Philip A. Baray-Gemaehlich, age 26. Next of kin has been notified and a forensic autopsy was conducted.

The Manner of Death has been ruled as an Accident. The Cause of Death is smoke inhalation and thermal injuries. 

No further information will be released.
