Can your idea change the world?

The Larimer County Workforce Center is hosting the 2018 Young Entrepreneur Tournament in Fort Collins, Colorado, marking the 10th anniversary of the tournament.

No business idea is too small, and the Young Entrepreneur Tournament enables new and innovative ideas to develop into a business while competing with peers.

This year’s focus is Impact Entrepreneurship, which uses innovative approaches to address unmet social, economic and environmental needs through a business venture. The business can be structured as a for-profit, non-profit or co-op enterprise, provided it enhances quality of life in measurable ways.

Youth who are 18 and under are invited to participate, with training and mentorship in five Saturday workshops starting April 7, 2018 through May 5, 2018. Youth learn what is necessary to start and operate a business while learning to make an impact in the world.

Participants spend 20 hours over four consecutive Saturdays, and then get to pitch their business plans to a panel of business owners in competition to win business investment prize money. In 2017, over $2,200 in prize money was offered to participants.
