It’s again time to nominate an individual for the 40th Annual Judge Conrad L. Ball Award. Nominations for the award are being accepted until February 28, 2018.

What’s the Conrad L Ball Award? It’s a prestigious award that’s given each spring to an outstanding person who’s significantly contributed toward improving the quality of criminal justice in Larimer County, in the memory of Judge Conrad Ball. Ball was a loved and respected jurist who contributed to the progress of criminal justice in Larimer County.

The Larimer County Community Corrections Department, on behalf of the Larimer County Commissioners handles the awards process --- gathering nominations, selecting the recipient, arranging the awards dinner and presenting the award.

The recipient is usually one person, but co-recipients or a team can be selected from among candidates nominated each year by colleagues, co-workers and citizens.

To nominate a candidate, write a brief composition, [no more than two typed pages] describing the nominee’s contributions to quality justice in Larimer County.
