LOVELAND, Colo. – The next Larimer County Open Lands Advisory Board meeting is Thursday, January 26, 2017, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Loveland Council Chambers, 500 E. 3rd St., Loveland.
At this month's meeting, the Board will hear year-end summary reports for the 20th anniversary of the Help Preserve Open Spaces tax and the outreach, education and volunteer programs. The Board will take action on recommendations for Small Grants for Community Partnering, as well as a land purchase, in partnership with the City of Fort Collins, on a 777-acre property known as Spring Canyon Ranch in the foothills west of Fort Collins. This partnership effort includes a $2 million grant from Great Outdoors Colorado (GOCO) as part of its Protect Initiative. Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins were awarded $4 million through this initiative in 2016. Larimer County and the City of Fort Collins only work with willing landowners to further the recreation and conservation interests of the citizens of Larimer County through the Help Preserve Open Spaces sales tax.
All meetings are open to the public. For additional information, contact Kerri Rollins, Open Lands Program Manager, at (970) 619-4577.
