Vacation Homes in the Estes Valley Planning Area

The unincorporated portion of the Estes Valley was subject to an Intergovernmental Agreement between the Town of Estes Park and Larimer County.  This agreement expired and as of April 1, 2020 all development review, including the management of the Vacation Homes, is done by Larimer County Community Development.    There are separate and distinct regulations for short-term rentals, referred to as vacation homes, within the unincorporated Estes Valley Area.  Properties that already have received an Estes Valley registration license will not need to complete this process unless they let their current registration lapse and then the approval is voided.
