To provide safety and support for children and vulnerable citizens.

NOTICE:  If you have a redetermination due in January for Food Assistance benefits, and you have not turned in your RRR, you are in jeopardy of not receiving your benefits due to the Federal shutdown. If we receive your redetermination in Larimer County by January 13th, 4pm, and if your household is eligible for February benefits, you should receive February benefits by 1/20.

The Department of Human Services assists individuals and families achieve self-sufficiency and security through public assistance programs, services or referrals to community agencies that help provide:

  • Assistance in obtaining food
  • Coverage for medical costs
  • Temporary cash assistance for families
  • Protection for vulnerable adults and children
  • A process for obtaining child support
  • Care options for people with disabling conditions and limited finances
  • Referrals to community agencies that can help people in need of assistance
  • We have locations in Fort Collins, Loveland, and Estes Park.  Please call to be sure you travel to the correct office for your needs.
