Unemployment Insurance Information: News and Resources

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) system is administered by the State of Colorado not Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.

All Uninsurance Benefits Claimants will have to verify your ID to continue receiving Unemployment Benefits.

In order to safeguard the integrity of Colorado’s unemployment program, all claimants who have not yet verified their identity through ID.me will need to verify their identity.  All claimants now have the option to complete the ID.me identity verification, but the requirement is being phased in over a period of weeks. When you are required to verify your identity using ID.me, you will receive an email from CDLE with instructions, as well as an “Identity Verification” issue on the “Issues and Determinations” screen within your MyUI+ account.  If you have not yet received an email from CDLE, or an “Identity Verification” issue within your MyUI+ account, you are not yet required to complete the ID.me process, though you will be in the near future. You can go ahead and do it now if you choose, or you can wait until you are required to do so.

How It Works
  • You verify your identity by uploading a photo of your government ID along with a selfie.  Many claimants are able to complete this self-guided process within 15 minutes and it can be completed 24-hours per day, 7 days a week.
  • This step-by-step guide walks you through the complete identity verification process.
  • If that method doesn’t work, you can speak with a person on a video call. To schedule a video call ID.me appointment please call 303.536.5615.
  • Para obtener información en español sobre ID.me, haga click aquí.

Please note that workforce center staff can not assist in the process of identity verification.  Unfortunately, this includes Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.

Larimer Area Local Plan is available for public comment.

The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) requires the submission of a four-year plan outlining the workforce development strategy for the Larimer Area.  The plan was drafted in consultation with the Workforce Development Board and our core WIOA partners.  WIOA is designed to help job seekers access employment, education, training, and support services to succeed in the labor market and to match employers with the skilled workers they need to compete in the global economy.  The  annual plan serves as the main planning document for WIOA funded programs operated by Larimer County Economic and Workforce Development.

We welcome your comments.
