Swimming Area Litter Cleanup - Carter Lake

Carter Lake is a popular place for July 4th weekend and lots of trash is often left behind. Help us keep Carter Lake beautiful by picking up litter at the Swimming Area.

Sign up as a group, family or individual.
This activity is suitable for all ages (youth under 16 yrs. must be accompanied by an adult).
Please bring your own litter cleanup supplies: gloves, grocery bags, trash bags (some available).
Bring water, snacks and prepare to be outside.
A parking pass is required for this site.

Once registered, you'll receive a confirmation email with more information. This is a self-directed event, you are welcome to start the cleanup any time between 9:00 am - 4:00 pm that works best for your group.

If needed, litter cleanup supplies will be available July 6 at the Administration Offices (Carter Lake District). Keep track of the number of trash bags you collect & report it on the Feedback Form you'll receive after the event.

Volunteers can pick up around the parking lot & along the shoreline. Volunteers can also walk the shoreline between the swimming area & Big Thompson campground.
