No.  Local roads provide direct access to businesses or residential areas.  These roads are limited in length and connections with other road classifications.

The primary function of local roads is to provide access to adjacent land.  They generally  serve as access for a single neighborhood or development.

For example:

  • residences
  • businesses
  • community facilities

Country Club Road is classified as a Minor Collector street.   Minor collectors serve as main connectors between communities and neighborhoods.

On a typical work day Country Club Road currently averages:

  • 4,900 vehicles per day (vpd) west of Lemay Avenue

  • 6,800 vpd east of Lemay Avenue

Saturday traffic levels are about 7-10% less.  These daily traffic volumes are well within the capacity of a Minor Collector.

Country Club Road does not have any bike facilities.  The Larimer County Transportation Master Plan includes bike lanes as part of a future Regional Bicycle Facilities network.  There were less than 10 bicycles counted on a weekday or Saturday.

Crosswalks can be found at the intersections of Terry Lake Rd, Gregory Rd/Lemay Ave, Lakeview Dr, Sherell Dr and Turnberry Rd.
