Community Development Drop Off/Pick Up from March 27 until further notice

As the situation changes due to the COVID-19 emergency, the State will be moving from a "Stay at Home" order to a "Safer at Home" condition on Monday, April 27.  The Public Health Department has been working with others in the County and many partners from other organizations on defining regulations and guidelines for residents, businesses and local governments. There will be no change in our current operations on Monday, April 27. Our offices will remain closed to the public.  As additional information is developed, and incremental decisions are made, additional announcements will occur regarding changes to operational practices.

Code Compliance

The Community Development front counter and offices are closed to the public starting March 17th.   There will be no in person transactions until further notice.

Under this temporary protocol, we cannot accept in-person submittals of applications, plans, or supplemental documents, nor can we respond to inquiries or complaints in-person. Customers may contact us by sending an e-mail to: kmadson@larimer.org, by calling (970) 498-7692 or sending mail to PO Box 1190, Fort Collins, CO 80522. We have a bucket for drop off submittals located in the 3rd floor lobby.

Any complaints regarding compliance issues with the Stay-at-Home Order issued by the Larimer County Health Department on March 25, 2020 will be handled by the Health Department compliance team.

A complaint can be filed at:  https://www.larimer.org/health/communicable-disease/coronavirus-covid-19 by clicking on the “Larimer County Community Concern Form” box.  (Second box down on the right).

Code Compliance complaints regarding the Land Use Code or Building Codes will be responded to as time and resources are available.

Site Visits

For now, we will no longer conduct site visits unless necessary. If a site visit is determined to be necessary, we will contact the property owner at least 72 hours in advance to secure permission.

We are quickly exploring and will soon be providing alternative options for service to minimize inconvenience to our customers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in teaming with us to help mitigate this global issue.
