In response to county, state and national Declarations of Emergency on March 13th, we are temporarily changing how we provide our services. Community Development Drop Off/Pick Up March 27 - April 17th:

Due to the COVID-19 emergency and declared state and county Stay at Home Orders, the building is closed to the public March 27 - April 17, 2020.  Staff is highly encouraging all documents for pick up or submittals to be done via the mail or electronically.  If this is not an option, please make an appointment to drop off or pick up a Community Development file. Please call 498-7683 to schedule an appointment.  

Code Compliance 

The Community Development front counter and offices are closed to the public starting March 17th.   There will be no in person transactions until further notice. 

Under this temporary protocol, we cannot accept in-person submittals of applications, plans, or supplemental documents, nor can we respond to inquiries or complaints in-person. Customers may contact us by sending an e-mail to:, by calling (970) 498-7692 or sending mail to PO Box 1190, Fort Collins, CO 80522. We have a bucket for drop off submittals located in the 3rd floor lobby.

Site Visits 

For now, we will no longer conduct site visits unless necessary. If a site visit is determined to be necessary, we will contact the property owner at least 72 hours in advance to secure permission. 

We are quickly exploring and will soon be providing alternative options for service to minimize inconvenience to our customers. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation in teaming with us to help mitigate this global issue.
