Larimer County Department of Natural Resources (DNR)

You may purchase most types of Parking Passes for the Larimer County Parks online by visiting the DNR website at
The DNR website also lists local retailers whom sell Larimer County Parks Passes.

County Park Permits

Entrance permits are required at Blue Sky Trailhead, Carter Lake, Flatiron Reservoir, Hermit Park Open Space, Horsetooth Mountain Open Space, Horsetooth Reservoir, Pinewood Reservoir, Ramsay-Shockey Open Space and Soderberg Open Space.

The park permits expire 12 months from the end of the month purchased and are transferable among vehicles registered to the same household.

Our office accepts cash, checks, or credit and debit cards (with a small convenience fee added).

State Park Permits

Effective January 1, 2017, Colorado State Parks permits are not available for purchase from the Larimer County Clerk and Recorder.

All Colorado State Parks have entrance fees, and all vehicles are required to have an entrance permit. These permits may be purchased online from Colorado Parks and Wildlife or at retail outlets such as Jax Outdoor Gear or REI. A complete list of retail outlets is available on the state's website.
