In May of 2005, the Election Center's National Association of Election Officials created a National Task Force on Election Reform. The Task Force consisted of local election officials from across the nation, including Larimer County Clerk and Recorder Scott Doyle. The result of their efforts was a comprehensive review of the 2004 General Election as well as a list of recommendations for election reform.

The National Task Force identified Vote Centers as a successful form of election reform in Larimer County in their final report .
