When making your request for a facilitator, note the following:

  • In order for us to do the best possible job for you, the following meetings need to take place first:
    • A "contracting" meeting where the facilitators talk with you to make sure everyone understands what is needed in terms of content, scheduling, materials, and which participants should be involved. This is normally a one-time meeting, but may require several meetings with you and/or with other groups, depending on the situation.
    • A facilitators' meeting to design the plan and prepare for the facilitation.
    • A final touch-base prior to the event to confirm the agenda and logistics.
  • Keep in mind that if you have already chosen a time and date for your facilitation, there may be limited availability of facilitators. For best results, put in your request as early as possible in your planning process and well before you have scheduled your meeting!
  • In most cases, two co-facilitators will be assigned
  • You are responsible for providing the facilities, meals, and any needed supplies or equipment.
  • Requests for County Facilitation Team support will be evaluated for appropriateness and availability of facilitators. Once we determine that your situation is appropriate for facilitation and facilitator(s) are available, the facilitators will schedule a meeting with you to more clearly define your objectives, expectations, and time lines.
  • Please make your request for a facilitator a minimum of 3 weeks prior to the event, although even more notice is preferable. There will be times when you need a facilitator on short notice. Even if you do not have this amount of advance planning time, please go ahead and submit your request and the Team will explore reasonable options to meet your needs.
