Fire Behavior Archives

This CD contains all the digital documentation from the FBAN on the Buckhorn-Davis Ranch Fire, April 26-28, 2000. Additional hardcopy documentation (weather obs, spot weather forecasts) are included in the fire documentation package. Most fire behavior and weather files are in both WordPerfect8 and Word97 format, and all photos and graphics are in .JPG format. Where minimal formatting was used, documents are stored in .RTF (Rich Text) format for ease of use.

Weather data (text and graphical) from the Christman Field automated weather site is also included for reference. This station is located on the CSU Foothills Campus west of Fort Collins, and was found to be fairly representative of the general weather trends in the fire area.

The final Fire Behavior Narrative is stored in the "Reports" folder, along with a perspective-view graphic of the fire area for reference. Portions of the Fire Behavior Narrative, and sample photos from this CD, can be viewed on the internet at:
