HOW TO USE THE PDF GRID SHEETS:

STEP 1 Review the selection of all Thematic Maps available (parcel, topography, zoning, aerial etc) from the Thematic Maps home page. Review the Sheet Size and Map Scale that are available for each Thematic Map.

STEP 2 After selecting the type of Thematic Map, select the link to View Coverage Areas. This view file (.pdf format) is a large file and may take a few minutes to draw on your screen.

STEP 3 Each PDF INDEX SHEET will show how much information will fit in a selected area of interest, depending on the page size and scale. View the Index Sheet (sample index sheet below) to obtain the Index Number needed to order your final map product.

Sample steps for gathering information:

  • Sample Customer Needs: Color Aerial in Red Feather Area
  • Theme selected: Color Aerial 2000 Image Map
  • Sheet Size available: 11"x17"
  • Map Scale available: 1" = 400'
  • Select View Coverage Areas to select the proper index number for your area of interest.
  • First view of entire Larimer County. Then zoom closer to Area of Interest
  • Zoom to Area of Interest: Highway 162 from Parvin Lake to Columbine Creek
  • Select sheet numbers from PDF file: BM52 BL52 BK52 BJ52 BI52 BI51
  • Make a list of SHEET NUMBERS of each sheet needed to cover the area of interest.

To order the sheets the customer will only need to provide four items of information:

  1. Theme: Color Aerial 2002 Image Map
  2. Sheet Size : 11"x17"
  3. Scale: 1" = 400'
  4. Sheet Numbers: BM53 BM52 BL52 BK52 BJ52 BI52 BI51
