The Wood Diversion Project:
When Will It Start?
As of April 29, 2000:
Larimer County is in the early stages of exploration. We have met with Holnam, Inc. and have formed a Project Development Group to start researching the possibilities.
At this point, the project has not progressed to the point that anyone knows when, or even whether the project will happen. We expect to study the pros and cons for several more months before making any decisions regarding the Wood Diversion Project.
How Much Will It Cost?
As of April 29, 2000:
The cost of the Wood Diversion Project is a critical factor. Since the option currently under consideration is a trade-off between two organizations, we expect to SAVE money by diverting at least 20% of our total waste stream to a company that can use it as fuel, thereby saving them money. We will know more as this project is further explored.
