Kids' Summer Classes are Back!
The Garbage Garage Education Center is hosting a variety of fun and educational activities this summer for kids aged 6 to 10 years old. Take a look below and sign up your children or students for one or more of these classes! Registration is free, but please sign up at least a week in advance. Limit 10 kids per class, so register early!
How to Register
To register, call (970) 498-5775 or e-mail the following information:
- Adult contact name (parent/teacher)
- Adult contact phone number
- For each child registering:
- Child's name
- Child's age
- Activity name, date and time
We will call you to confirm registration. Classes may be cancelled if fewer than four kids are registered, in which case we will call you at least two days in advance of the class date.

The Garbage Garage is located at the Larimer County Landfill, 5887 S. Taft Hill Road, Fort Collins. It's the building directly south of the entrance lanes/gatehouses (north of the recycling drop-off area). Please park here. See map.
From Fort Collins:
Take S. Taft Hill Road, go past Harmony Road. The landfill is about 2 miles south of Harmony Rd. on the west side of the road.From Loveland:
From Highway 34 (Eisenhower Blvd.), go north on Wilson Ave. Wilson turns into Taft Hill Road. Head towards Fort Collins, and the landfill will be on the west side of the road.Garbage Garage Hours
Feel free to come a little early or stay a little late to browse through all the displays at the Garbage Garage! The center is open Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. In addition, visits can be scheduled for other times (Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.) by calling (970) 498-5772.
